Sync Folder Pro is intended to synchronize contents between two folders. In this respect, the tool supports various modes, including bidirectional synchronization, backup and restore. Unfortunately, the app is not as user-friendly as other similar tools. However, should you have any questions, there is detailed help documentation online to answer them. The application supports synchronizing folders stored in practically any type of storage device: local disks, USB drives, networked drives and memory cards. Similarly, it can be used to synchronize local content to Cloud storage services like Dropbox. Its interface is composed of five tabs. In this respect, the Sync tab lets you create tasks. First, you should give your task a name. Next, you need to pick the two folders you want to synchronize. Luckily, it is possible to include or exclude given files based on their names, folder, extension and type. Next, you should pick one of the synchronizing modes available. Good news there is a table explaining what each of these modes does; otherwise, it would be impossible to know. Finally, you can decide what to do with the deleted files and whether you want the changes to be tracked or not. The following tab is labeled Tasks and it keeps a list of all the sync tasks you have previously configured. It lets you manually execute the currently selected task or a group of them. Good news is that up to six tasks can be run simultaneously. Likewise, it allows scheduling them to run automatically at a given time or frequency. The next two tabs, Last Changes and Log, are quite similar in their purpose. They help you view the list of changes as well as any issues. Finally, there is the Settings tab, which is intended to configure automatic synchronization, manage the database and disable some types of notifications. Fortunately, Sync Folders Pro has various features that reduce the possibility of data loss. In this regard, there is protection during copying, which prevents problems due to accidental disconnection of one of the drives. Moreover, it lets you preview the results of a sync task before it is actually run. All in all, Sync Folders Pro has the main advantage of supporting bidirectional data synchronization. The product is available in various versions: Free, Pro and Pro+. Unluckily, such a convenient feature as creating a bootable version of your hard drive, which you can use in case your system crashes, is not supported by the Pro version.

The Sync Folders Pro users can update to Pro+ version for free and create a Bootable backup on an external drive (SSD, HDD). The Sync Folders Pro+ is compatible with macOS Big Sur, macOS Catalina and earlier.

This is one of those apps that runs quietly in the background and does a really good job, without you even knowing it’s there. I use it for syncing a USB drive connected to my Mac Mini (running Kodi) to back up my movie library to a RAID backup server, just in case the USB drive ever fails on me. It’s simple to set up, and it just works, without any intervention at all unless I need to change something. Highly recommended!

I use this to sync the files from a local external hard disk to our NAS and it’s the best thing I’ve ever used. The only thing that could be improved are the ability to manually enter files paths (just a bit quicker sometimes than finding the folder), the ability to only sync certain files in a main subfolder (reverse of the exclude folder option). These are more wishes than anything else, great app recomeend to anyone who needs it.

brauchte ein App zum Synchronisieren meiner Fotobibliothek. Funktioniert einwandfrei, ist gut dokumentiert. Die Synchronisation kann in alle Richtungen erfolgen (Backup, Spiegelung), Ordner und Files können ein- und ausgeschlossen werden. Zeitsteuerung und online-Sync sind ebenfalls möglich. Das beste ist aber der Support. Innerhalb von 5 Minuten wurde meine Frage per Mail beantwortet und es gab eine Lösung für mein Problem.

Update zur v 2.7: Super wie das Programm gepflegt wird! Es scheint immer "schneller" zu werden und die vielen kleinen Verbesserungen sind meist einfach aber sehr effizient. Als Beispiel sei hier genannt die Möglichkeit einige Sekunden "Toleranz" für die Erstellungszeit der Datei zu definieren - enorm praktisch wenn man zb. unterschiedliche Dateisysteme synct (wie HFS - FAT). Das ganze funktioniert auch auf NAS systemen und z.B Tonido plug (media) Servern (das ist meine "Lieblingsanwendungen"). ------------ Das Programm hat sich enorm verbessert in der aktuelle Version! Funktioniert auch bei sehr grossen Datenbeständen sehr stabil. Scheint im Moment das beste bidirectionlae Sync Programm am Mac zu sein - und da gibt es nicht allzuviel Auswahl. Danke an den Programmierer! Ich selbst verwende es um Kopien meiner Dateien (im Mac und auch auf externen Festplatten) aus Sicherheitsgründen geografisch entfernt über das Netzwerk zu spiegeln. Einmal eingestellt funktioniert das super.

Sync Folders Pro funktioniert sehr zuverlässig. Man braucht nur ein wenig Geduld, bis alle Einstellungen vorgenommen sind. Dazu gibt es aber sehr ausführliche Beschreibungen zu lesen. Das einzige Problem ist der Autostart beim Systemstart, der nicht zuverlässig funktioniert. Das könnte noch verbessert werden. Daher nur vier Sterne.

I have used four different sync tools on my iMac. This one is the best by far. I particularly like the option to select multiple tasks to run sequentially. The customer support is remarkable. I asked about a feature that was not available in the app, and within hours the developer sent me a script to try out which might do what I was looking for. The script that the developer sent to me worked perfectly. I can't recommend this app enough.

It lets you configure lots of ways of syncing regarding exceptions, folders, directions, etc. For me, it lets me automatically have the latest version of each file stored in my NAS or my laptop. Bei mir funktioniert die 3.3.1 genauso gut wie die Vorversionen. Wenn ich mal Probleme hatte (Inaktivität) habe ich die Aufgaben mit den Pfaden NEU angelegt - das half. Dieses Synchronisationsprogramm arbeitet perfekt und ist günstig. Die Sicherheit der Daten steht für mich im Vordergrund. Es hilft, dass gelöschte Dateien oder Vorversionen einer geänderten Datei in einem Sammelordner unter der gespiegelten Baumstruktur abgelegt werden und bleiben somit in "Reichweite". Natürlich läuft Time Machine weiterhin mit ;-) Anhand der Protokoll-Datei kann man alle Aktivitäten einsehen, die das Programm im Zuge der Synchronisation durchgeführt hat. Das von mir bevorzugte Kurzprotokoll zeigt nur noch Störungen an (z.B. wenn keine Netzverbindung bestand und daher der Ordner/die Datei nicht gefunden wurde). Das Programm ist sehr schnell und arbeitet - einmal sorgsam eingerichtet - tadellos und im Stillen. Wir verlassen uns voll und ganz darauf. Um beim Einrichten der Synchronisationspaare keine Fehler zu machen, startet man zuerst mit A<+>B, um sicher zu stellen, dass beide Ordner (mit Unterordnern und Dateien) von Beginn an zunächst GLEICH sind, bevor man dann auf das übliche A<->B wechselt. Die Synchronisation von riesigen Dateien, wie z.B. LIBRARY-Dateien mit z.B. 334GB klappt nicht. Zum Einstellen der App ist die Hilfe auf der Website gut, wenn auch sprachlich noch nicht auf der Höhe. Der Support war mir bei Fragen auf Englisch sehr behilflich! - Danke :)

Ich nutzte Sync Folders Pro und meine Daten zwischen 3 MACx und einem NAS im Heimnetz synchron zu halten. Funktioniert einwandfrei. Sehr stabil. Die Oberfläche könnte etwas übersichlicher sein, die vielen Funktionen schrecken ggf. etwas ab. Die Doku und der Suppurt sind aber hervorragend. Wünsche für die Zukunft: Ordner und DateiFilter per Diaglogbox und nicht mehr manueller Eingabe; Oberfläche etwas aufräumen und auf das wesentliche reduzieren, die Feineinstellungen können gerne in tiefere Untermenüs wandern. Insgesamt ist die App jeden cent wert!

Ich hab die App 1 Jahr lang als Gratisversion genutzt, anschließend aus dem Bedarf heraus die Pro Variante erworben. Die App ist ihr Geld wert und erfüllt genau die Aufgabe die sie soll. Regelmäßiges Synchronisieren zwischen verschiedenen Ordnern. Die Filtermöglichkeiten sowie die Automatisierung haben auch überzeugt. Bisher ist nie ein Problem dabei aufgetreten und die Einrichtung ist gut dokumentiert zu finden. Die App eignet sich für alle die, die mit dem Terminal nicht zu vertraut sind und keine automatisierten Skripte schreiben können. + sehr fair die App vor dem Kauf testen zu können

Einfach gehalten, dadurch kann ich mich gut auf das Programm - ohne Ablenkung - konzentrieren. Es dauert etwas sich durch die Englische Anleitung zu arbeiten aber es hat sich gelohnt. Habe meine ersten Aufgaben angelegt und die Synchronisationen manuell angeschoben. Alles hat wunderbar funktioniert. An den Einstellungen habe ich zur Zeit noch nichts geändert, da ich auch weiterhin manuell synchronisieren werde. Für mich ist das die beste Lösung. Aufgrund meiner Erfahrung kann ich dieses Programm empfehlen.

Ich pendle als selbständiger Grafiker zwischen zwei Arbeitsplätzen, bei denen ich immer auf den aktuellen Datenbestand zugreifen möchte, ohne auf Cloud-Services oder ein NAS zurückgreifen zu müssen… Mit Sync Folders Pro habe ich in der Zwischenzeit einen Ablauf eingerichtet, bei dem ich Jobs, Dokumente und Zeiterfassung auf einen USB-Stick synce… Während der Arbeit wird automatisch auf den USB-Stick gesichert und abends gleiche ich den Datenbestand mit meinem Rechner im häuslichen Arbeitszimmer ab. Nicht vollautomatisch aber doch sehr komfortabel. Und als Ergänzung meiner Backup-Strategie kommt Sync Folders Pro neben Time-Machine und SuperDuper! in der Zwischenzeit auch zum EInsatz…

Anfangs war ich wegen des (visuellen) Designs der App etwas skeptisch, sieht sie doch sehr nach einer Ein-Mann-Lösung aus und nicht nach der eines größeren Unternehmens. Dagegen spricht erst einmal nichts, allerdings hätte ich größeres Vertrauen in ein Unternehmen, das eventuell auch schon länger auf dem Markt vertreten ist etc. Jedenfalls hat mich die App positiv überrascht! Nach einigen Tagen kann ich sagen, sie funktioniert fehlerfrei und zuverlässig im Hintergrund. Ich habe ein wenig herumprobiert und es scheint, als würden der App beim Synchronisieren auch keine Fehler passieren, alles wird nach den gewählten Einstellungen synchronisiert (die Logfiles kann man über die App einsehen und alles nachprüfen). Vadim, der Entwickler, antwortet recht schnell und hilft auch bei Fragen per Email. Ich bin also für meinen Einsatzzweck zufrieden. Wenn ich etwas verbessern würde, wäre es das Aussehen der App - eine bessere Übersichtlichkeit und das allgemeine Design mehr in Richtung 2016 anzupassen wären das Sahnehäubchen ;-)

War am Anfang etwas skeptsich, aber inzwischen ist es nicht mehr wegzudenken. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist auch OK. Wenn ich an anderen teuere Sync Apps denke, wie z. B. GoodSync (vierfacher Preis), die bei mir immer wieder Konflikte verursachte. Auf meine Anfrage, wo den bei SyncFolders die Einstellung für das automtische Starten einzustellen wäre, hatte der Support, der schnell reagiert hatte mitgeteilt, dass man das Programm manuell in die Anmeldeobjekte schieben muss. Wenn man das nicht manuell macht, startet der Sync nicht und die App ist wertlos. Das kann inzwischen jede Poppel-App automatisch, owohl inzwischen ein Update kam, ist das noch immer nicht vorhanden. Deswegen gebe ich nur 4 Sterne.

… und das zuverlässig. Das allein reicht aus einem solchen Programm volle 5 Sterne zu geben. Bei mir im Einsatz um diverse Projekte zwischen Heimrechner und Bürorechner (ohne Internet) via USB-Stick zu synchronisieren. Auch gut um große Datenmengen zu kopieren, aktuell meineiTunes-Mediathek vom Linux-Fileserver via SMB auf ein NTFS-Laufwerk (60.000 Files), einfach neuer Sync-Task „A+>B“ und los. Bei Verbindungsabbrüchen oder Fehlern: so what, nochmal Syncen oder ins Fehlerprotokoll schauen :D Das ist unter Linux oder mit dem Finder so nicht möglich … Und ich kann sicher sein daß alle Dateien erfaßt wurden, anderenfalls weiß ich welche nicht.

Das Tool ist super, ist genau was ich gesucht habe. Einfach zu bedienen. Das Einzig, was meiner Meinung nach fehlt, jedes Task sollte nicht nur zu einem Ordner zugeordnent werden, man sollte auch mehrere Verzeichnisses in einem Task zu gruppieren, das wäre toll :-)

Die App ist zwar etwas umfangreich Aufgebaut, verspricht aber dadurch, dass man alles sehr individuell anpassen kann. Aus diesem Grund tauchen auch viele schlechtere Rezisionen auf, die behaupten „Snycronisierung wäre nicht möglich, Daten tauchen immer wieder auf der anderen Seite auf“. In soclhe einem Fall wurde dann der falsche Modus gewählt "A<+>B“: Syncronisiert ohne Löschung (d.h. Dateien,Ordner,... die entfernt wurden kommen wieder zurück). "A<->B": Entfernt Dateien, Ordner,... die entfernt worden sind. Die zugehörige Anleitung (Englisch) ist dabei sehr gut(!) beschrieben und sollte AUFJEDENFALL zu Rat gezogen werden! Da man bei solchen Syncronisierungprozessen auch vieles Defekt machen kann (wie man auch bei einigen Kommentaren lesen kann). Mein Wunsch: Was mir noch Fehlt ist die Einstellungsmöglichkeit, dass ein Syncronisierungsvorgang nur dann stattfindet, wenn ich mich in einem bestimmten Netz befinde. Da ich viele Netzlaufwerke haben, die natürlich nur dann syncronisiert werde können, wenn diese im vorhandenen Netz sind und wenn nicht taucht jedes mal das gelbe Symbol auf. Finde ich nicht so schöne ;)

Perfektes tool, wenn man primär keine Cloud-Dienste verwenden möchte. Ich verwende es in Kombination mit einem NAS und synchronisiere meine MacBooks. Sehr geeignet, wenn man ein SchreibtischMacBook hat. Das andere MacBook kurz angeschmissen, die aktuellen Files gesynct und schon kanns zum Kunden gehen. Perfektes Tool. Top und zu empfehlen!

Anfangs wollte ich diverse Ordner via rsync auf eine Synology sichern. Erwies sich steiniger, als gedacht (Einrichtung public Key via Shell usw. usf.). Schlussendlich lief es, aber mit 8-15MB/s (Gigabit via Kabel, kein WLAN). Nach stöbern drauf gekommen, dass die SSH-Verschlüsselung „Schuld“ war. Da ich nicht weiter basteln wollte, suchte ich im App Store nach Backup-Programmen und wurde bei Sync Folders Pro fündig. Man kann es kostenlos testen, ist dann (natürlich) eingeschränkt. Der Test war positiv, also zur Pro Version gewechselt. Was ist an dieser App hervorragend: - Absolut gute Geschwindigkeit, da native Protokolle unterstützt werden. Um die 50-75MB/s erreiche ich nun - Die einzelnen Sync-Tasks lassen sich einfach einrichten. Einfach die gewünschten Verzeichnisse nach Quelle und Ziel ziehen - Es stehen enorm viele Möglichkeiten zur Verfügung: Sync von A nach B als reines Backup, keine Dateien in B löschen, neuere Dateien von B auch nach A kopieren usw. usf. - hier sollte für jeden Anwendungsfall etwas dabei sein - Die Tasks lassen sich als „Autosync“ mit einer beliebig gewählten Zeitspanne konfigurieren - Es steht sogar ein „Realtime-Backup“ zur Verfügung - und vieles andere mehr (es lohnt ein Blick auf die Hersteller-Seite) Verbesserungswürdig ist das Interface. Aufgrund der vielen Optionen ist es etwas unübersichtlich bzw. einige Funktionen erschließen sich nicht sofort. Das Programm ist klein, handlich, nicht überladen mit unnützen Funktionen und schnell sowie (wichtig) stabil. Absolute Empfehlung!

Die App funktioniert einwandfrei, wenn man sich vor Benutzung kurz die Bedienungsanleitung durchliest (ja, das ist hier wirklich empfehlenswert, es geht um euere Daten!). Ein durchaus komplexes und stabile Synchronisationstool auch von Mac zu PC-Laufwerken übers Netzwerk ohne weiteres machbar. Der einzige kleine Wermutstropfen. Nachdem das bisher bei mir eingesetzte Programm seit langem nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird, musste ich wohl oder über ein anderes finden. Ich habe zuerst die kostenlose Version getestet und war von der Geschwindigkeit sofort hellauf begeistert! Als dann noch Dinge gingen, an die ich vorher nicht mal im Traum gedacht hatte, entschied ich mich, die Vollversion zu kaufen. Dateien oder Verzeichnisse auf dem einen Rechner können wahllos verschoben, umbenannt, umbenannt und verschoben oder gelöscht werden - nach dem Synchronisieren ist alles perfekt auf dem anderen Rechner oder auch im Cloud-Speicher abgebildet. Das ganze geht übrigens auch bidirektional - und auch dabei gab es bisher keine Fehlfunktionen - gleichgültig auf welcher Seite geändert wird. Da die Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten enorm sind, sollte man das Handbuch im Web zumindest „überfliegen", es gibt ausreichend Hilfe. Der Support per E-Mail ist fantastisch: freundlich, schnell, kompetent. Fazit: eigentlich 6 Sterne - und JA, der Preis ist gerechtfertigt. Das Programm erspart den ansonsten mühseligen Datenabgleich vollständig!

Ich habe etliche Programme zur Synchronisierung von Foldern zwischen verschiedenen Festplatten getestet, und Sync Folder Pro war wirklich das einzigste, was hierfür hervorragend geeignet war. Einmal ist es preislich sehr attraktiv und bietet nicht zu viele Funktionen, zum anderen hatte ich bei vielen anderen Programmen höhere Fehlerquoten. Praktisch ist auch die Möglichkeit, dass von der Änderung betroffene Files - beispielsweise solche, die gelöscht werden würden - in einen Folder geschoben werden, dann kann man alles nochmal prüfen.

Diese App hält sich dezent im Hintergrund und synchronisiert die konfigurierten Verzeichnisse im lokalen Netzwerk mit meinem Synology NAS anstandslos. Die Konfiguration kann detailliert und für jeden einzelnen Fall separat eingerichtet werden, sodass man recht komplexe Szenarien abdecken kann. Ansonsten - einmal eingerichtet - werkelt das Programm im Hintergrund und hält Datenbestände in sync. Es gibt ein ausführliches (Fehler)Protokoll und ein Icon in der Infoleiste zeigt stets an, ob der Programm gerade aktiv ist oder nicht. Vor allem, wenn man nicht immer oder überhaupt nicht mit einer Cloud arbeiten will, um Daten zu synchronisieren, ist dieser kleine Helfer ideal. Ich habe noch nicht alle Optionen und Möglichkeiten erschlossen, aber für einfache Fälle ist die Einrichtung blitzschnell erledigt und erfordert keine nennenswerte Einarbeitung. Ich bin zufrieden, der Preis okay.

Das beste Sync Programm das ich bisher gesehen habe (MAC). Für den schnellsten Support möchte ich mich beim Hersteller bedanken, innerhalb ein paar Stunden wurde ein Fehler behoben der jetzt noch nicht zum Downloaden bereit steht (V2.9.13). Emails wurden sehr schnell beantwortet, respekt. Die Software läuft sehr zuverlässig und schnell. Bei Änderung von Dateinamen oder auch Ordnernamen können diese automatisch gesichert werden, oder auch nicht, je nach wunsch. Was mich sehr freut ist der Datenvergleich der bei mehreren GB innerhalb ein paar Sekunden fertig ist. Der Performace verbrauch hält sich unter 0,09% im Bereitschaftmodus (CPU) und maximal 20% im Dauerbetrieb (CPU) bei 26 MB Arbeitsspeicher. The best sync program that I have ever seen (MAC). Ich nutze das Programm zum einen um ein paar Ordner auf dem Heimserver synchron zu halten, aber die meisten Daten habe ich hauptsächlich mit der Funktion als wachsendes backup eingestellt. Durch eine falsche Einstellung meinerseits, hatte ich Anfangs Probleme mit größeren Dateien (>100Gb), aber die rasche Antwort (innerhalb 3h) des Supports hat mir aber sehr gut weitergeholfen und ich kann nun volle Punktzahl vergeben. Das Programm deckt alles ab, was ich von einem Synchronisationsprogramm erwarte. Die Sicherheit der Daten steht für mich im Vordergrund und IST gegeben. Denn gelöschte Dateien oder Vorversionen einer geänderten Datei werden in einem Sammelordner unter der gespiegelten Baumstruktur abgelegt und bleiben somit in "Reichweite". Natürlich läuft Time Machine mit ;-) Anhand der Protokoll-Datei, die man auch als Mail senden und speichern kann, kann man alle Tätigkeiten einsehen, die das Programm im Zuge der Synchronisation durchgeführt hat, ein Kurzprotokoll zeigt nur noch Störungen an (z.B. wenn keine Netzverbindung bestand). Das Programm ist sehr schnell und arbeitet - einmal sorgsam eingerichtet - tadellos und im Stillen. Wir verlassen uns voll und ganz darauf. Um beim Einrichten der Synchronisationspaare keine Fehler zu machen, startet man zuerst mit A<+>B, um sicher zu stellen, dass beide Ordner (mit Unterordnern und Dateien) von Beginn an zunächst GLEICH sind, bevor man dann auf das übliche A<->B wechselt. Der Support war mir bei Fragen sehr behilflich! - Danke :)

Das Programm funktioniert bei mir (10.8.5) sehr gut, nur die Bedienung könnte etwas einfacher/übersichtlicher sein. Etwas weniger ist manchmal mehr. Wenn ich einfach nur eine Aufgabe auswählen und die Synchronisation starten möchte, muss ich nicht jedes Mal wissen, mit welchen genauen Einstellungen das im Detail passiert. Die Auswahl ("Name") auf der ersten Seite "Sync" ist auch noch etwas unergonomisch, würde mit einem Klappmenü besser funktionieren. Wie auch immer, bin weitgehend zufrieden, habe für meine Zwecke kein besseres Programm gefunden.

Endlich eine Sync-Software die funktioniert. Ich synce damit meine externe Festplatte, da diese von Timemachine nicht gesichert wird. Das Tool ist mit den letzten Updates immer Performanter geworden. Ich synchronisiere meinen Mac seit ein paar Monaten mit einem Laptop und einem RT Tablet, und das ohne Probleme. Manuell oder automatisch werden einzelne Dateien oder ganze Ordner zwischen den Geräten synchronisiert. Gelöschte Objekte lassen sich bei Bedarf in extra Ordner verschieben. Das gibt zusätzliche Sicherheit. Die Sync-Aufgaben lassen sich zudem mit Ordner- oder Dateifiltern weiter einstellen und umfangreiche Protokolle geben einen guten Überblick über das was wärend des Syncs passiert ist. Was ich mir noch wünschen würde, ist das ich die Aufgaben gruppieren kann und dann die Gruppen ausführen kann. Aber bereits so funktioniert es bereits so wie ich es brauche.

Bewertung der Version Version 2.7.1 Habe ein NAS (EXT3) und wollte auf meine externe USB-Festplatte (NTFS) mit vorhandenen Daten nur bestimme Ordner synchronisieren. Das hat über meinen noch vorhandenen WIN8 PC nicht funktioniert. Als Alternative habe ich mir dann NTFS von Paragon gekauft und dieses Sync-Tool um von meinem Macbook (early 2012) die Synchronisation durchzuführen. Ergebnis: Es werden alle gewünschten Ordner von dem NAS gelesen und auch perfekt auf die USB-Festplatte zurückgeschrieben. In meinem Fall 2 Ordner mit vielen Unterordnern und zig Dateien, habe so über 4.000 Dateien mit mehrenen GB synchronisiert Einzig die Übersichtlichkeit und Handhabung könnte noch verbessert werden, aber das sind nur Kleinigkeiten, deshalb volle Punktzahl

Die App macht genau das, was ich von ihr erwartet habe. Sie synchronisiert ein sehr umfangreiches Verzeichnissystem auf meinem Mac mit einem USB-Stick und mit einem Netzlaufwerk. Insgesamt handelt es sich um 20 Tasks und mehrere GB von Daten. Ich hatte anfangs ein Problem mit einem systembedingten Zeitunterschied von Quell- und Zieldateien, da Stick und Netzplatte mit FAT32 formatiert sind. Es handelt sich hierbei nur um wenige Sekunden, doch aufgrund dieser Differenz synchronisierte die App bei jedem Durchlauf, obwohl de facto keine Veränderungen bei den Dateien vorlagen. Dies war unnötig und sehr zeitintensiv. In einem wirklich sehr unkompliziertem Emailverkehr mit dem Support wurde das Problem umgehend gelöst. Ich kann die App nur weiterempfehlen und ein großes DANKE an den Support. *****

Ho un paio di altri terminali, sulla stesso network wifi, in ciascuno dei quali c’è una cartella che deve contenere i file aggiunti ad una terza base. Dopo aver impostato questa app sulla base, anche se in quel momento gli altri non sono “montati”, mi si collega da solo ed aggiunge ciò che deve aggiungere. Avevo provato e riprovato con automator ma c’era sempre qualcosa che non andava. Veramente buona quindi ed aggiornata, forse un po’ troppo, spesso ma comunque, magari alla quinta volta, il miglioramento si percepisce sempre.

他のレビューの人と同じように、フォルダ内に入っている子フォルダの内容がコピーされないと思っていたのですが、Sync Modeで単純にA => Bに設定すると子フォルダが無視される仕様のようです。これに気がついたときはしまったーと後悔していました。 でも、実は、子フォルダをコピーするモードは他にあって、A +> Bというものみたいでした。これに設定したところ、子フォルダの内容までしっかり転送でき、レビューを書き直しているしだいです。 ちょっとわかりにくい癖がありますが、使い方がわかってみると十分機能的で便利なソフトだと思います。

なかなかNASへのバックアップや同期をしてくれるバックアップソフトがなかったのでありがたい一品です。 日本語が翻訳をそのまま通しただけなのか曖昧な日本語になってますが自分で修正したりできるので自分なりに加工してもよさそうです。 Pro版は曜日や時間によるバックアップも出来て、沢山の設定をすることもできます。 見やすいかというと微妙だけどもシンプルで気にせず同期したいってあればおすすめです。

This is a very ease app to use, for the beginner but also for the more experienced users. You can (real time) sync your files for backups and it has a good logfile to see what happened. You can make multiple synchronisation task in advance and select them for syncing when ever you want. Theres a good (online) manual of every setting within the app. If you need a good app for a backup (i make backups from the master harddrive to a external harddrive and the cloud) then this is the app you gonna need.

Doet wat het moet doen! Ik zou het 5 sterren geven als de interface meer gebruiksvriendelijk zou zijn. Je moet er nl. even in duiken en de help funcie gebruiken bijvoorbeeld als je folders of files uit wilt sluiten bij het maken van een back-up. Ook bij het maken van automatiche back-ups zou er het een en ander makkelijker kunnen. Maar nogmaals als je er even tijd voor neemt en de help functie gebruikt is er prima mee te werken!

I use this app to keep 2 external backup disks in sync and for Dropbox backup. The app can do automatic/scheduled syncs but, since one of the backup disks is unmounted (for extra safety), I only use it for a manual sync. I mount both external disks, start the app and press on sync, and it works great!

I was looking for an app to sync some source code directories into Dropbox for cloud backup. This one fits the bill perfectly. It is simple, while it offers advanced file filtering options through the use of expressions. The only suggestion would be to improve the documentation on the expressions, because at least for me, they aren't clear enough. Nevertheless, when I was having trouble setting the sync tasks up, I've sent a support email. it was a Sunday afternoon, but I got a reply with the solution within 1/2 an hour!

Program jest elastyczny, konfigurowalny, skuteczny, godny zaufania… i warty wydanych na niego pieniędzy. Korzystam z niego do sychronizacji katalogów z Dropboxem, oraz do wykonywania backupu na zewnętrznych dyskach. Wszystko wymagało trochę dłubaniny… ale działa. A dłubanie w takich programach to czysta przyjemność i satysfakcja:-) Polecam. Niezdecydowani powinno skosztować wersję darmową, która pozwala poznać smak pełnej wersji programu.

This is a great pieace of software, and has a variety of options offering custumisation. My only concern is its stability. The menubar icon has a anoying tendency to turn red (or other non-green colors) to indicate a error, which prevents autosyncing. This happens unaceptably often and moreover thus far I am unable to identify the cause of this. If the developer is reading this please fix this issue.

Полность стоит своих денег, в отличии от приложений за $40 за каждую копию. Работает по сети. Разработчики моментально откликаются на вопросы, иконку обещали доделать. Прекрасно справляется с массивами данных более 150Gb. Быстрее аналогичных программ. при работе по сети испотлует штатный инструментарий apple, не открывая лишних дыр. Мои рекомендации.

Отличное приложение! Идеально и быстро работает, мануалы есть, настройки шакарные и ничего лишнего. Автозагрузка конечно отстутствует не по вине автора, а так как у Apple теперь новые правила игры, так что в ручную добавить в объекты входа не составит никому труда. Всё классно! Отличная замена Time Machine, но с гибким выбором папок и типов синхронизации. Плюс как пообещал разработчик, в следующей версии будет добавлен Русский язык в локализацию! Всем советую, маленькая и скорострельная утилитка с гибкими настройками. Другой и не надо, а другие пробовал, тормозят и долго бакапят. Техподдержка на прямую от разработчика. Так что приложение заслуживает уважения. Всем советую. С разработчиком общался, если есть проблемы, всё подскажет и уделит время. Стоит своих денег прога!

Keine Lösung schien gefunden, doch kurz vor dem Griff zum Hammer fand ich dieses wunderbare Program. Ihr solltet direkt Nutzer von Seagate NAS Lösungen anschreiben und ihnen eure tolle Software empfehlen. Insofern du Probleme mit der übertragung von gross volumigen Dateien hast schafft die Software hier im gegensatz zu den offiziell angebotenen Lösungen schnelle abhilfe. Alle meine Dateien wurden schnellstmöglich und unversehrt übertragen. Die Ordner gescannt und ergänzt. Okay, sollte selbstverständlich sein. Jedoch stoss ich bei der Kommunitkation zwischen Nas und Mac an meine Grenzen. Mehrmals gingen Backups und das verschieben grosser Archive schief. Nun endlich hat die Nerven zereissende Odysee ein Ende. Die neue Version jedefalls hat mich vollends überzeugt. Die Fünf Sterne sind verdient…

Прога простая, без запутанных настроек и главное работает на 100% - синхронизирует несколько папок в 6 (!!!) режимах. До нее перепробывал много подобных программ, так что знаю о чем пишу.

I have used the app to sync thousands of photos and music tracks from my Mac to a micro SD card. It worked perfectly but seemeed to be a bit slow. I emailed the developer and received an answer within an hour! Problem solved - it was due to my lack of understanding of the settings. I have one suggestion that might or might not be feasible: either have a ‘basic’ mode or perhaps create scenarios on the website of what users might want to do and how to best configure this powerful app. Or, just kepp on providing excellent support! :) Great app. Very pleased with it.

After looking around for a free sync app that can copy from a network drive (there’s not many), came across Sync Folders. Been using it for the last month and it’s great, so easy to set up does exactly what I wanted. I just set off the sync at the end of the day and when I come back in, in the morning, it’s done. The biggest limitation of the free version is that you can only sync one folder, the paid version you can have multiple syncs.

I have been looking for something VERY SIMPLE to check folders for changes and then back up to a NAS on my home Network. I am sure Hazel can do it (a programme I have but struggle with…very good I am sure but I need to invest time to get the most out of it) but I have not the time or the inclination to learn how. I tried the free version of Sync Folders, contacted Vadim, the Developer, asked my specific question (could you use it to back up iCloud Folders within iCloud Drive) and his answer was yes. About 20 mins later it was happily providing me with a back up. I have bought this for my son and recommend this app happily. It can do way more than I need but in my opinion it was £5.99 well spent as it solved my problem. Vadim is on the ball regarding customer support and that really matters, he cares and is really helpful, sending me shell commands for specialised syncing etc. Try it for free then jump in, it works very well for me.

Finally I can fully sync my files between Dropbox and OneDrive simply and quickly. Dropbox is my main storage but files have to be on OneDrive to use them in Office on my iPad. Now I can read & write on my iPad and they end up on Dropbox. I bought the Pro version (even though the standard one worked) simply because the developer deserves the fee, plus I expect I will find more uses for this app.

This version is every bit as good and has become an indespinsible tool for backing up my Macbook Pro to a range to other locations such as external HDD and NAS. Хорошее приложение, решающее насущную проблему. После копаний в настройках работает без сбоев, хотя не всегда понимает какие файлы уже были скопированы и порой перезакачивает уже скаченое. Главный минус - интерфейс. Стоит поработать над ним со всех сторон: слишком большие/маленькие контролы, непонятные аббревиатуры, неудобное расположение кнопок и неинтуитивно понятные функции. Мне как программисту сойдет и такой, но пользователи будут плеваться. Удачи и плодотворной работы над обновлениями, мы их ждем.

I’ve been using Sync Folders for about a year. It works seamlessly. I have two computers that I need to sync: one is a Mac, the other a PC. I store the key files in Microsoft OneDrive in the Cloud. Although I can access that from the Mac, I need those critical files on my Mac’s drive as well - so I use Sync folders. I keep it running in the background, and no sooner have I created the files on the PC then they’re available on my Mac. Handy for attaching from the local drive, too. The program works both ways, so it’s really helpful for me to keep these files up to date - without even thinking about it.

I wanted a solution to backing up large video files that I work locally on my 512gb Mac without having to manually drag/drop to backup. with this tool I simply set my "movies" folder to backup to an external drive - then I delete files off my Mac and they stay on the backup drive, so not directly "syncing" as I removed files from my local drive. great tool! I use it to backup various folder as well - I have my Dropbox local folder backup to my main drive, and set it as a one way sync — so if I delete something off my dropbox but decide I want it later I can pull it off my main backup drive. thanks for making this great tool!

I’ve been using this app for at least two months, and it has been trustworthy the entire time. I use this to duplicate my main iCloud Drive to my OneDrive and Dropbox storage. This way I have redundancy without needing to keep track of everything that I’ve modified and manually sync it. I am a photographer using a MacBook Air. I store my original master DNG files on a portable external hard drive, and my Lightroom catalog on my computer’s SSD drive. My wife, also on a Mac notebook, stores our family snapshots in an iPhoto database on a separate external hard drive. I’ve set up three tasks, one that makes an incremental backup of my wife’s iPhoto library to a folder on my Lightroom external HD, one that makes an incremental backup of my Lightroom HD to a folder on my wife’s external drive, and one that backs up my Lightroom catalog folder on my computer to my wife’s HD. Hook the two drives up to my computer, click one button and everything synchronizes… and both my wife and I have up-to-date access to all of our pictures. This app is _powerful_ so read the help webpage carefully. The interface could help you more in understanding the coding symbols, so pay attention. The drag and drop functionality to fill in file path names sometimes stops working for no apparent reason, but does not affect the the working of the app. When you drag a file onto the input/output fields, you are told it is advisable to save a com.greenworldsoft.syncfolderspro file. Nowhere is it explained in the documentation what this file does, or where it ought to be saved. In fact, saving it seems to do nothing at all, as the file does not appear in the finder location you target. It does not appear that either saving or canceling at this point makes any difference to the proper functioning of the app. Aside from these niggling things, this app is exactly what I was looking for.

This one does it all without a lot of fussing with settings and repeating the same setup definitions each time you want to do something. Task list for quick selection and execution of manual syncs… very helpful for external drives that travel about a lot in between “docking”. The interface is easy enough to understand. And, the types of tasks which are predefined are comprehensive enough to accomplish any type of file/folder sync. Took me a tic to find how to terminate the app. But, once I saw the new menu bar icon, I realized it is an efficient use since the app is also a background service which can “watch” and “sync” in the background, I assume this works… But, I haven’t tested that part yet. I did test it on a network mountable disk. And, it worked perfectly with that task as well. Don’t get fooled by that “other” sync app that calls itself “Pro”… You will regret not spending the extra bucks to get one that actually HAS Pro features.

Running several Macs can get a bit hectic after a while so I started to research syncing folders. This in theory is a great concept. Download a new album by Eminem and save it in my music folder. Next my system automatically copies it over to my “backup” system in a replica folder just like my music folder. Easy right? Well I’ve decided to blog my experience at trying to do this. I’ve never attempted to do this before so this is a new adventure so to speak. Without further adeue, let’s get into it. I’ve created one folder on my desktop called BETA_ROOT_FOLDER and one on my server called BETA_BACKUP_FOLDER. I placed a few MP3’s into the root folder. After googling around for a bit, I tried finding a solution using AUTOMATOR, the built in app that comes installed with Mavericks, but moved on to something a little easier. I found Sync Folders Free. A free app I originally found on MacUpdate. I’ve linked directly to the developers site in case you were interested in the Pro Version as well. Installed it and was given a simple looking menu. I named my task name Beta Folder Sync Process, clicked on Folder A and selected my _BETA_ROOT_FOLDER folder. clicked on Folder B and selected _BETA_BACKUP_FOLDER. I left Sync move to A<+>B. Didn’t really tweak much else. Clicked on Synch Current Task. After a few seconds it was done. The folders automatically synced! I did one test with 4 mp3 files. Absolutely successful. I then did another test with 3 movie files. MP4, much larger then the mp3 files. Successful as well. I then deleted one of the synced movies in order to see what happens if files already exist in the target directory. Again, successful. So far so good. As a one time function this seems rather powerful and simple to operate. However, planning on using this to keep backups of my movie and mp3 files, it seems that this version of Sync Folders does not support storing a “task” as they are called. I looked at the Pro version and it appears that it is a more robust version of the free one. For only $7.99 it seems like a very good deal if it does what is promises. Before I purchase the PRO version, I am going to attempt to sync 2 mp3 folders. They are rather large so I’m interested to see how it handles large sync’s. I selected my two directories, double checked all the settings and clicked Sync Current Task. It immediately started reading the first folder and started counting all 182 thousand mp3’s that I have. In literally what seemed like 15 seconds, it was done analyzing it and began syncing the folders. It indicated that there were 1118 files that needed to be synced and began to transfer files. Fortunately I’m running external drives with USB 3.0 so the transfers are pretty decent. I’m not techy enough to tell you the transfer rate and all that, but it copied the entirety of those files in under 4 minutes. Now to check the folders to see if they are in fact the same size…. Folder A = 356.82 GB, Folder B = 356.3 GB. So somewhere along the way .52 GB went missing. After looking through them both, the sync created 2 extra folders. _DelSyncFiles on each folder. I am going to delete both of them and see what happens. I’m assuming that it took duplicates, or extra files and put them in the _DelSyncFiles folder in each folder. Immediately after doing that, both folders equaled 356.3 GB. Sync Success!! From what I see, this will do exactly what I want it to do, for the most part. What it looks like it won’t do is automatic backups say every Sunday night at midnight. I believe the PRO version does have timed backups, but more reading must ensue. Awesome. In the first paragraph of the PRO version it indicates that you can do Real Time Sync, Schedule or Manually do a sync. VERDICT: For most Mac users, the free version seems to be well worth the download. I am buying the PRO version simply so I can set it and forget it. That way I can have backups of my backups.

With this latest update, this becomes a perfect app for my use. I have used it for all kinds of things, and have bought it for personal and business use. For personal, I went through a huge project ripping all my CDs (collected pretty much from the day CDs were released) using multiple computers and saving to one drive. I used Sync Folders Pro to transfer the files. Often I was not sure whether I had already copied something over but using this app I didn’t have to worry about that since it compares source and destination every time it is run. For business, I use it to automatically back up two NAS devices to an series of connected internal hard drives, on a weekly schedule. Often there are corrupted files which cannot be copied, and thanks to this update, I will now be notified of backup errors via email. Love it.

I have two really great needs for this product, and it performs very well. First, I’m a semi pro photographer. I capture anywhere from 500 to 1000 photos and file per session. I need to immediately import these from the camera and then duplicate the files on other drives. Sometime after reviewing, I realize some photo need to be deleted or modified. Rather than now try to find the same files on each drive, sync folders pro does it for me. It saves hours of work. Second, I run a consulting business, where I take a data dump from the client, clean up the data and files and folders, introducing new engineerng on drawings. I copy this data structure across several drives for backup. I use sync folders pro to automate exactly which folders on each drive need to be compared and files replaced. The author is very quick to respond to questions and very helpful. Be sure to check the ? (help file) on the website so you understand what the different backup modes will do. The interface is very simple, but it doesn’t need to be anything else. It does exactly what you think it should do, plus, you can add a icon to the status bar (up top) and see the syncs that are automated, or in-process. My one bit of feedback would be to change the backup symbols to plain text or the option to change to symbols plus text so that I can be sure I selected the correct backup method.

I wish I had found this years ago. Great app, with pretty much every master/slave combination you can think of, file filters, folder filters, etc. It will even mount and dismount drives to complete a sync job. Simple enough for a beginner, with plenty of heft for those with more specific needs. I was also impressed with the developer support. I sent off a question, and got an immediate response back with exactly what I needed.

The app does exactly what it says, and it offers a lot of flexibility. I find the settings panel to be a little on the confusing side, but the online help does a good job of explaining what everything is for. I initially had some trouble setting up an automated sync task. When I sent an e-mail to the developer, he replied very quickly with the solution. (Some features depend on Spotlight, and I had excluded one of my volumes from Spotlight long ago. It’s working great now.)

Just installed this yesterday after using another app for quite a long time. My previous app was OK, but was a bit confusing to understand in that I could not always determine if my file copies were successful or not. It simply was not clear. So far, Sync Folders Pro seems to be straight-forward, easy to understand, and best of all, this morning, when I checked my results, it seems to have worked fine. The thing I actually like best is that there is ONE web page that is effectively the only instruction manual you need to setup this application. All the answers are there, and you can find them very quickly.

This app did everything I hoped it would do. I needed to transfer a 5TB iTunes library from a Raid of external HD’s to a NAS (WD Ex4). Before using this app, I was receiving alot of errors and nothing would transfer. This app fixed all of that. It copies each file 1 at a time. This would have taken me months to do. This app was able to do that with ease. App is awesome and did excatly what I was looking for. I had no reason to use the sync function but if you are trying to transfer a large amount of data to another location, USE THIS APP. If you are moving over to a NAS it can take a while to move 5TB depending on what type of NAS you have. The EX4 took about 2 days, the Synology took 19 hours. So keep that in mind when you are moving it over.

I was looking for a simple, straight forward sync-app that would allow me to manually synchronize several folders on two different external hard drives - and Sync Folders Pro does that flawlessly. I don't use the auto-sync feature, so I can't say anything about it, but I can highly recommend this app to anyone wanting to sync folders manually. There's traditional mirroring & bi-directional sync and tons of preferences you can tweak to your liking. Also, it looks like Sync Folders Pro is in constant development - a lot of features have been added since I bought the app more than a year ago and the developer seems determined to make the app better with every update. Sync Folders Pro is fast and stable and I feel like I can trust the app completely - and that's one of the most important things a sync-app has to accomplish :))

I have found Sync Folders Pro to be a great little reliable syncing program. It has an easy interface for non pro users but it also has some nice more advanced features for those who need them. While I have run into a few small issues, the developer seems willing to work on them quickly. The help pages online give fairly easy and thorough instructions for each feature in the program.

I use Aperture and have 3 managed libraries totalling 635 GB. I use Sync Folder Pro to make two copies of my working library every night (151 GB). My backup devcies are two NAS units 8TB each. I'm able to sync over the (wired) network without any problems. Twice a week on different nights I sync the other two libraries to the NAS units (362 & 122 GB). Sync Folder Pro will read inside the Aperture Library Package and update/delete only the files that have changed. I routinely open the synced library in Aperture to verify that backup is "OK", and have never had a problem. Before discovering Sync Folder Pro it was a pain to try and keep backup copies, now I just schedule it for the middle of the night and forget it.

This is a good program for syncing folders between my local HDD and a network drive. Took a while to setup and luckily I had a time machine backup when it deleted all my files, but I think I got it working. So far, it has copied whatI want.

You should use bidirectional Sync Mode A<->B with caution. If you delete a file from one location, the synchronization process will delete the same file from the other location. If you synchronize a local folder with a network folder and then connect the other network folder with the same name, the synchronization process will delete files from the local folder that are missing in the network folder.

This $8.00 app is saving me hundreds of dollars. I bought a MacMini and use it as a server. It was good but didnt allow sync'ing. This app allows all three of my devices to be "on the same page" at all times without having to do the montly expense thing using Carbonite or Dropbox. It keeps your deleted files, Iguess until you manuall delete them from the deleted folder. The support page is a little tough to interpret because English is not the first language of the Designer but the app is so simple you really dont need support.

Vadim, the developer, has been amazing to work with. I have specific needs for a 100+TB media server (XBMC and PLEX) and syncing such large RAID arrays requires a stable and completely reliable application. I had been using FileSync, a nice free app for syncing, but one day I carelessly went in the wrong direction. Time Machine, plus a little work, saved me but I decided I did not want to take a chance that the next time would be a genuine disaster. Sync Folders Pro has a nice security blanket. It has an option to save deleted files. It also does a genuine bidirectional sync so, if I had been using it, I couldn't have gone in the wrong direction. I've been using it for a few days now and I have learned to trust it. I no longer force a Time Machine update before every sync. I tried the free version first. The developer has nothing to hide; if you don't like it, don't buy it. I liked it and I bought it.

I could never figure out just what the "other" folder sync application was going to do. Sync Folders is pretty straight-forward and appears to do what it says it'll do. Considering getting the pro version so that I can sync files one-way; I appreciate the developers' allowing me to try this program for free before spending money on the full-up version. If "other" apps had done that, I would have saved some money.

If this app is updated to not stay in the dock, this will be 5 stars. The functionality is fantastic and syncs like a charm. But the fact that it is persistant in the dock is rather annoying. This app is performing what should be background activities… it should be out of sight and out of mind!
